Lorna Juka - Fashion Blogger

In this section, we have decided to meet different interesting people who will tell us about their passions and their way of living. We did the first interview to Lorna Juka, a 22 year old pharmacy student at the university of Padua (Italy) but with a great passion for fashion, that she expresses with her much followed blog: Lorna's Lookbook

How would you define yourself in 5 words?
Trustworthy, auto ironic, loyal, determined, lazy

How would you describe your style?
I lead a normal boring life so my stile is also pretty simple, I love fashion but I’m not the freak chic type. I pay a lot of attention to details and like to wear many accessories.

Who or what is your biggest influence?
I think the biggest influence about fashion nowadays is the internet, there are a lot of blogs, pages and shopping retailers online where you can easily be inspired. It’s incredible how the web is affecting the way people dress, it’s almost a revolution.

Matthew Bellamy walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say? Why is he here? What do you do?
He enters the room and says: ‘’Hola muchachos’’. He happened to be here because Muse are touring in Italy, I walk towards him and say: ‘’Hey Matt, great show last night, give my best to Kate’’

What song best describes your work ethics?
Deadlines are not my thing so I’ll go for "Time is running out" by Muse.

What do you think about when you are alone in your bed?
I worry a lot about my exams, and that’s all I’m sharing!

If we came to your house for lunch or dinner, what would you prepare for us?
Risotto with radicchio and smoked provola (cheese) :-)

What is the cheapest and the most expensive thing in your wardrobe?
I have some H&M sleeveless shirts which I bought for 9€, meanwhile the most expensive would be my Alexander McQueen skull clutch.

What do you have in your bag?
A lot: wallet, iPhone, sunglasses, tissues, hand cream, lipstick, Amuchina

Where do you find your style inspiration?
There is something about the Californian bloggers that I adore. They all look fabulous in their golden skin and printed tunics.

10 things you could never live without?
iPhone, curling iron, computer, music, Zara, Kinder Bueno, sneakers, novels, coffee, Ray Bans

What do you pack with you for vacation?
Sunblock lotion, lots of bikinis, tunics, shorts, sunglasses.

Top 3 beauty must-haves
Kerastase Elixir Ultime shampoo, Shiseido Dual Balancing foundation, Chanel Inimitable mascara

What style tips, do's and don'ts have you learnt?
I’ve learnt that is important to have a ‘’balanced’’ outfit, I mean if you wear something too showy try to match it with a simpler one. Sometimes there is a thin line between OK and too much. Personally I wouldn’t wear short bandage dress or shorts with heels that exceed 10 cm.

Tell us how you put together an outfit...
I get my outfit ideas while I’m doing my hair or putting makeup. Everybody likes to put on stuff that was bought recently, right? So if I have a new skirt I try to picture what could match with it. When I go back to my room I have it all figured out what I’m going to wear.

Breakfast at Tiffany's or Sex and the City?
I’d rather drink cocktails with my girlfriends than have breakfast in front of a shop all by myself.

If someone needed you to help them start a whole new wardrobe, where would you take them and what would you get?
Zara of course, it offers the latest trends at a very reasonable price. I would get blazers and heels

Can you tell us 10 random facts about you?
  1. I like to eat, a lot. I could never say no to lasagna
  2. I don’t have anything pink in my closet
  3. I never went jogging a day in my life, like ever.
  4. I love alternative music
  5. I find Jared Leto very sexy when he is in his best behavior
  6. My favorite movie is ‘’Law-abiding citizen’’
  7. I have a seahorse tattoo behind my right ear
  8. I took piano lesions when I was little but now I’m not able to play a note
  9. I’m 1.73 but I wish I were slightly shorter. I feel uncomfortable in high heels.
  10. I can speak french

Can you say: "Peter Pipe picked a peck of pickled pepper. Did Peter Piper pick a peck of pickled peppers? If Peter Piper Picked a peck of pickled peppers, where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
